How the SEO tools work

Understand the inputs, reports, scoring, and limits before turning an automated finding into a website change.

1. Check a keyword ranking

Enter your domain and a search phrase. Select a country, language, and device, then run the check. The website sends these settings to the connected analysis engine and displays the search results it returns.

A ranking snapshot can differ from your own browser and from Search Console. Search location, timing, device, personalisation, and data coverage can all affect comparisons. “Not found” means the domain was not found within the returned results, not that it is absent from Google.

2. Review your website pages

Enter a full public HTTPS URL, an optional topic keyword, and a maximum page count. The crawler may return fewer pages than requested. Blocked requests, inaccessible links, JavaScript rendering, and engine limits affect coverage.

Review the affected page and the underlying evidence before changing production content. A failure to access a page is not proof that Google cannot access it.

3. Read the score in context

The frontend organises findings into four areas: technical and indexation (25 points), on-page and intent (30), entity signals (25), and answer structure (20). Findings deduct 6 points for critical issues, 3 for high-priority issues, and 1 for medium-priority issues from the relevant area. Manual and low-priority notes do not deduct points. Each area is floored at zero.

The scoring also checks reported HTTPS and sitewide robots restrictions. Blocked crawls score zero in the existing model. This is a custom checklist score, not a validated measure of ranking potential; more crawled pages may reveal more issues and change the score. Scores should only be compared with similar crawl settings and coverage.

The report does not verify actual AI citations, keyword traffic, backlinks, or field Core Web Vitals. Use specialist data and manual checks where needed.

4. Export and follow up

The Excel export contains summary scores and grouped findings. Downloaded reports stay wherever you save them. A copied settings link includes the website, keyword, and chosen options; anyone with that link can see those inputs. Links do not store report history or automatically run checks.

If a check cannot finish

Read the displayed error, try a smaller crawl, and confirm that the target page is publicly accessible. If your firewall blocks the crawler, review the request with your hosting provider. Avoid disabling security protection for all traffic.
